Barnyard Millet Akki Roti

Ingredients

  • Barnyard Millet Flour – 1 cup
  • Groundnut oil – 1 tsp
  • Water – 3/4 cup
  • Dried red chilies, chopped – 1 (optional)
  • Himalayan Pink Salt – 1 tsp

Instructions

Preparation Method:
  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add 1 tsp of oil to the water and 1 tsp of salt.
  3. Add the flour, dried red chilies to the water and mix well.
  4. Switch off the flame, cover the mix, and allow it to rest for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Take out the dough and knead it for 7-10 minutes.
  6. Make small equal-sized balls of the dough and roll them into rotis.
  7. Cook like a paratha on the roti pan.
  8. Serve hot with any chutney of choice and plant-based dahi.
