- Clean bajra and get it ground like daliya and bajra flour mix.
- Make it a grind mix as dardara daliya plus bajra atta together.
- Prepare dough with warm water, add a pinch of baking soda, salt, and a teaspoon of oil.
- Make round balls with a hole in between similar to udid vada.
- At one side, put water on the gas for boiling.
- You can add cowpeas to it for boiling.
- Once the water is hot and boiling, put these balls slowly inside.
- Keep it on slow cooking, keep stirring in between, keep for 20-30 minutes on slow flame.
- After 20 minutes, check with a toothpick. Ready to serve with plant-based ghee.
Notes
One pot meal Millet Dhokli : Prepare similar dhokli preparation. Instead of whole wheat atta balls, prepare jowar millets atta small dhoklis. You can roll them like roti and make small thin circles also.
