Bajra ka Dhokra

Instructions

  1. Clean bajra and get it ground like daliya and bajra flour mix.
  2. Make it a grind mix as dardara daliya plus bajra atta together.
  3. Prepare dough with warm water, add a pinch of baking soda, salt, and a teaspoon of oil.
  4. Make round balls with a hole in between similar to udid vada.
  5. At one side, put water on the gas for boiling.
  6. You can add cowpeas to it for boiling.
  7. Once the water is hot and boiling, put these balls slowly inside.
  8. Keep it on slow cooking, keep stirring in between, keep for 20-30 minutes on slow flame.
  9. After 20 minutes, check with a toothpick. Ready to serve with plant-based ghee.

Notes

One pot meal Millet Dhokli : Prepare similar dhokli preparation. Instead of whole wheat atta balls, prepare jowar millets atta small dhoklis. You can roll them like roti and make small thin circles also.
